About June's Kaleidoscope

June's Kaleidoscope music can be conceived like the nostalgic yet stirring trip you'd begin over and over again, through endless ocean landscapes stuck in your memory. Influenced by Bon Iver and Fleet Foxes' folk or Jamie Cullum's enthusiast nu-jazz, June's K (Arantxa Iranzo- Valencia) began her project in London a few years ago. Gigging day in-day out at the live scene while she was finishing her degrees in Classical Piano and English Literature, her experience as a songwriter in a foreign country brought her all kinds of deep musical education, and eventually, her first released EP: 'Soon you will see' (2012).
In 2014, Arantxa was internationally selected to participate at New York University's 'The NC Songwriters Workshop' with legendary songwriters and producers such as Barry Eastmond (Aretha Franklin) or Phil Galdston (Esperanza Spalding). After that summer, she moved back to her calm Mediterranean hometown, where she decided to spend a long while giving shape to all the memories she kept from England.
"Brave Journey Into The English Sea" eventually titled her second album. Her 'preview' single, 'Secret Farewells' was chosen winner by Universal Music UK in the event Secret 7'' (The Public Records) celebrated at Somerset House in London.

For the production of 'Brave Journey', the figure of Matt Ingram (Laura Marling, Florence + The Machine, Lianne La Havas) was key. Also counting with the collaboration of Fyfe Dangerfield (The Guillemots) and mixed by Dan Cox at their own studios, Urchin Studios (London), the new album was finished in the summer of 2016, and it will be released next spring.
