Joanne Shaw Taylor

Fantastic show in an intimate venue. Joanne put on a personal and powerful performance combining past favorites and material that is on her upcoming release in June. She is a great vocalist and a searing guitarist that can bring the heat and also deliver a meaningful ballad. She interacted with the crowd and maintains a humble and grateful persona. Hope she comes back for a third visit on her next US tour.

Joanne Shaw Taylor is a guitar virtuoso with skills absolutely comparable to more well known (i.e. male…) “guitar heroes.” Plus she has an incredible voice perfect for singing the blues - think Bonnie Raitt and Janis Joplin! The concert was a great show - talented band, wonderful small venue and lots of positive energy. Joanne created an intimate rapport with the audience with her personal stories - made this an extra special event. It also provided insight into her outstanding songwriting skills. Definitely want to see her again!

First time at Kent Stage. Better than I expected. Comfortable seats, decent leg room, good size. Joanne Shaw Taylor. I’ve been a fan for 15 years and I’ve finally got to see her. Incredibly talented. Great guitarist, great singer. They started right on time. My only regret is I wish she would have performed longer. I’ve got tickets for another concert there and looking forward to it.

We drove to Massachusetts to see Joanne Shaw Taylor and the show was Great!! She played a few songs off her new album and a good mix of older tunes.I think she’s a great guitar player and love to watch her play.I saw her back in November when she came to NY and that show was Fabulous!!We got to support our blues musicians and keep it alive.

Joanne Shaw Taylor as ever is the consummate musician and a truly talented guitarist and her vocals just get better & better,her show at indigo O2 with excellent backing by her band was a fantastic show and gave evidence she deserves to be performing on even bigger stages and be known further afield.

Joanne gave another great show- tad shorter than usual but still great- good tight band especially the drummer who was noteworthy. Venue is worthy of praise as it is a good size with no bad seating- all had a clear view of stage.

Cannot fault venue wheelchair friendly all staff happy to help if needed , as for J S T absolutley superb , puts 100% into her shows and you can see she enjoys singing and playing the blues . Would deff. attend this venue again and cant wait to see J S T again either 10 /10 for a great night ( gig & venue ) .

It was a great show. So lucky to have her come to Burlington VT. The sound person was a little off. Joanne was slightly lost in the mix and over all it was a little loud for the size of the venue. Hope she comes back.

JST was great! She plays with such enthusiasm and effort. She always looks like playing the Blues is fun. Loved the show last night, and she was great! Just wish there was more of a crowd for a Wednesday gig. Beautiful blues played by a great musician!

My first time at this venue; very comfortable and intimate with the artist. Coming from the Indy area I was concerned about parking because my wife is handicapped, but parking was no problem. The artist was great. I have been a fan for a few years and this is the second time that I've seen her. She seemed much more animated this time. Love her giving explanations about what brought the inspiration of some of her songs. Looking forward to seeing her again!!!

We saw Joanne Shaw Taylor last year in Phoenix and last night in Tucson. She's an incredible artist and musician. Her guitar rivals anyone past and present. Don't miss her anywhere, anytime. The Rialto is an old theater. They have taken out the old theater seats and replaced them with padded folding chairs, and they are not the most comfortable. Overall, it has good sound quality. Love Joanne Shaw Taylor!

It was my birthday and I was excited to see Joanne Shaw Taylor for the first time and she did not disappoint. She hit the stage and rock and rolled thru a nice long setlist. The lady can sing, play and tell a good story or two as well. Go see her if you have the chance.

I’ve been waiting to see Joanne Shaw Taylor for a while now, and she was phenomenal. Her band was great too. The sound in the Jorgenson center could have been mixed a little better. We were third row center, right in front of her guitar amps, so we heard her guitar crystal clear. However, her vocals were a little muffled. Nevertheless, she was great, and I will see her time and time again.

Our third time seeing Joanne, She and her band were amazing my wife and I loved the show. It’s great to see someone from our generation (80’s kids) keeping the blues alive. Thanks So much Joanne we hope you come back soon. Steve and Jackie Whitley bay.

I had listened to her music but never seen her live before. This was one of the best live gigs I have seen in years - probably since Oasis 1994. JST was sensational - voice of Janis Joplin; energy of Mick Jagger ; guitar playing like Duane Allman and stage presence of Bruce Springsteen. What else can I add ? Would go a long way to see her again .

So glad I made the trip for this one! Small theatre filled to the brink with the talents of Joanne Shaw Taylor, Joe Bonamassa, Kenny Wayne Shepherd and the other fine musicians there! This was filmed and you can look for it on PBS. I will buy this DVD when it is released.

Her performance with couple new members was outstanding. She and the rest of them seemed so happy to be playing out again like it is all new again. Can’t wait for May 5th at the Woodlands Tavern in Columbus. You should go see her soon because it won’t be long before she is playing much larger venues for a lot more money just Joe Bonamassa years back. She out the van and trailer and in a tour bus now which means she is climbing the ladder of success!!! Go now because there is nothing like catching them before they leaving the small intimate venues. Go now!!! She growing fast!!!

By the time I got the notification from you that she was playing Callahan's the tickets were sold out. However, I 've seen her there before, she's an awesome blues performer and kicks it on that guitar. I would definitely see her again.

JST and her two compadres put on yet another virtuoso performance of blues rock. Watching Joanne smiling away as the guitar solos take you up to blues heaven s a joy to behold. The crowd lapped up the show as JST performed songs from her already impressive repertoire despite her young(ish) age.

Joanne is full of soul and passion. She is a female Stevie Ray Vaughn. Not only is she a raw talent not to be matched ; but she connects the to the audience with her guitar, her voice, and her expressions. She doesn't just play the Blues, she feels the Blues.... She IS the face and sound of the Blues.
