About Malak
Malak El Husseiny (born 5 September, 1993) known as ‘Malak’ is a singer/songwriter from Cairo, Egypt. Malak’s sound, which has both softness and edge, is presented through electronic elements with a live analog component. Her career took off in 2014 after releasing her debut EP ‘Alters’ under Subspace Records, followed by a number of singles such as ‘Wild Summer Hearts’ and ’Spirits Of Time’ under Baci Records, which all became instant online hits garnering over 1 million plays on Soundcloud.
Malak plans on releasing her second EP ’bedside’ in 2019 which explores her journey through love as a woman living in the modern Arab world. Malak is set to create a sound that reflects her authentic expression to international markets.
