Lis Sarroca

Deep - Techno DJ/Producer Born in Barcelona and raised in Mexico, Lis Sarroca combines the best of her Catalonian and Mesoamerican heritage to bring an intelligent, focused and creative ethos to her music. She took her first steps as a DJ in 2007 in her then home town of Chihuahua, Mexico, blending all sorts of tech house, minimal and techno, rapidly earning the respect of peers and the attention of those further afield. In 2011 she moved to the cultural hub of Mexico City and landed a residency in one of the best known clubs in the city, AM Local. On the strength of this and increasing national attention, performances followed at some of the top clubs around the country - including Hardpop (Cd. Juarez), Bar Americas (Guadalajara) and Rioma (Mexico City). Namechecking the likes of John Tejada, Jay Tripwire, Perzzner, Butane, Roman Fluegel, Ruede Hagelstein, David August and Maximiljan as key influencers, her hallmark has always been to seek out and deliver quality sets full of fresh and exciting new music. Her passion and evident skill with playing music meant a natural transition into electronic music production has followed, and since 2013 a new interest in making music as a producer learning music theory, studio production and piano has been pursued with the same rigor and attention to detail. The first fruits of this effort emerged in 2016 with the release of ‘Melbourne’ on the LP VIVA MEXICO by Beesound Recordings Label. Her last release is ‘Alininha 2017‘ along with Paolo Mojo in Natura Viva Music.
