About Baseborn
Baseborn formed in 2012 as a 3 piece punk band with Richard Casas on bass and vocals, Steve Langella on drums, and Danny Torres on guitar. The band hails from the borderlands of deep South Texas, otherwise known as the Rio Grande Valley. Their debut album, “Behold” was released in 2012. In 2016 however, Steve left the band to go live in the woods [not even joking], while Richard focused on other projects (The Low Ends, The Palatines). Thus, Baseborn succumbed to the ole ‘indefinite slumber.’
In the ensuing years, Danny and Richard stayed in touch and maintained their determination to eventually bring the band back. In 2022 they finally decided the time was right. To round out the lineup they recruited Carmen Castillo (L@s Skagaler@s) on drums, and Ruben Farias (L@s Skagaler@s, Little Wins) on second guitar. Baseborn officially returned in July of 2022 with the release of their ep “Over And Out.”
