Mosquito

Mosquito is a Belgian rock band formed in 2008. Over the years the band has developed a unique sound, mingling noise and stoner influences with math and post rock. The two-piece (Kevin Imbrechts on guitar and Nico Kennes on drums and vocals) has established a notable live reputation as well. The release of their fifth EP ‘The Age of the Image’ lead them to open for Mark Stewart, Toe, Blood Red Shoes and Radical Slave (Mauro Pawlowski) among many others. Becoming routinized in the Belgian club circuit - Vooruit, Trix, Charlatan, Botanique, Kinky Star, Magasin 4, Muziekodroom - Mosquito not only got picked up by Studio Brussel, Humo, De Morgen, Gonzo(circus) and Vice, but also acquired international airplay in Germany and the USA. On April 27th 2013, Mosquito released their first full album, called ‘We ARe SOCIETY’, in their hometown of Haacht supported by Sukilove and Cowboys & Aliens. Two days later they already got picked up by BBC Radio icon Tom Robinson. Talk about a good start!
