About That LOUD
Born in Salento, south of Italy (1991) from the age of 8 he was attracted by music and later around started going to guitar’s lessons in Surbo a small town near Lecce (Salento) where he grew up. Taught to play guitar as a young child, Mirko Calvara alias That Loud grew up listening from the Blues of James Brown to Soul, RnB and HipHop. While he was a student he quickly immersed himself into his passion for music which brought him to become a Dj when he was 15 years old and choose the name of Dj Zone. He began by experimenting his own “edits” and “mashup” of other artist’s songs, recording in studio with urban and caribbean artists jingles, dubplates, and dedicated “tunes” for his Sound, creating his own Remixes and edited tracks and just few time later adding instrumentals riffs and melody ideas. He promoted himself by playing and organizing parties, and sharing his tracks in Italy and worldwide. After couple years his network was expanded enough that he traveled Europe to play his always fresh “caraibic-urban dj set” in the best spots of Italy, Sweden and Germany. At the age of 18 he joined a 2 years music venture with a Miami based crew “Eccentrix Sound” and played live in front of sold-out crowds in Florida. His talent as dj was recognized internationally so that his mix sessions were played on air by radio stations in Portugal and in Uk (at the BBC 1 Extra). While living back and forth between Miami and Europe he started collaborate with his long time friend Stefano Ingrosso, an international music entrepreneur, which quickly became his Manager and projects co-worker so that a full European Tour was setted in early 2014. With the tour done and european crowds being pleased by his tropical sets, That Loud began to look forward to the forefront of the global dancefloor. It was his “6 months stay” along with his Manager in The Netherlands that really opened his view to new possibilities and power of Electronic and Pop music . “I took the name of That Loud there. We used to go out every night and party in the hottest disco and clubs of Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Den Haag and all around Holland” That Loud says. “I want to create a new global and massive sound to hit the dancefloor worldwide and touch all type of audience so that everybody can enjoy my music and feel the vibes that i feel anytime I am in the studio making a song. I am extremely excited to present my music to the world. It’s all about believing in yourself and work hard for your goals.” That Loud continues. After scoring the top ten position worldwide of the official Remix Contest for J.Lopez and Iggy Azalea hit song “Booty” with his Remix in 2014, That Loud throwed himself fully into music production. That Loud is down to his diverse influences, love for music and living life which gives his creations that flavour and boost. “Ain't loud enough if it ain't That Loud” . Ain't loud enough if it ain't That Loud.
