The Pirate Party Brigade

The Pirates are a 6 piece band from the Island of Jersey (UK) playing a unique brand of Ska, Rock and Gypsy Folk all rolled into one. Formed in 2011, when members Monty and Tommy met at a beach party, their repertoire grew into stories of past muggings, relations with women, money, almost anything to do with alcohol, and a nonchalant attitude towards offending anyone. With their punchy and abrupt songs, the band have been creating a buzz in the Island and abroad, having been asked back to headline the second stage tent at Penn Festival (UK) 2013 and 2014, receiving high accolade and drawing in crowds, welcoming them into their world of nonsensical pandemonium. 2015 saw the re-release of the bands first EP ‘Loose Cannon’ and the release of their debut album ‘Filthy Bilge’, after a generous grant from the Jersey Arts Trust and a successful Kickstarter campaign to fund the project. The album has already begun to receive great reviews alongside the release of their music video for ‘Before The Crows’.
