About Nancy Wilson -Whiz Fingers-

Nancy Lamoureux Wilson (born March 16, 1954) is an American singer, songwriter, guitarist and producer who, with her older sister Ann and lead guitarist Roger Fisher, became the core of the Seattle/Vancouver rock band Heart. Nancy was born in San Francisco, California, and she and her sister, Ann, grew up in Southern California and Taiwan before their Marine Corps father retired to the Seattle suburb of Bellevue. Nancy finished high school, then attended Pacific University in Oregon and Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle where she majored in art and German literature. She then played solo gigs until 1974 when she quit college and moved to Canada to join her sister in Heart. She and Heart guitarist Roger Fisher, brother of Ann's boyfriend/Heart's manager Mike Fisher, lived together for some time. Nancy started dating movie screenwriter/director Cameron Crowe in the early 1980's. She appeared in two of his films, 1982's classic 'Fast Times At Ridgemont High' & 1984's 'The Wild Life'. The couple married in 1986 and by the late 1990's Nancy was doing movie scores for a number of his films like 'Vanilla Sky', 'Elizabethtown' & 'Almost Famous'. In the year 2000 Nancy had twin boys but by 2010 she & Cameron divorced. Nancy sang lead on Heart's #1 single 'These Dreams' from 1986. Heart was honored in 2007 from VH1 on the show 'VH1 Rock Honors', in 2009 her & Ann recieved an ASCAP award for their songwriting. Also in 2009, she & Ann released the book 'Dog & Butterfly'. Another of Nancy's talents is art work, she's designed a number of Christmas cards over the years that can be bought on Heart's official website, No doubt that Nancy is one of a kind, an original. She's loved by many whom have looked up to her for her talents. Notable Nancy quotes over the years.... "Love Rules" "Its About The Effin' Music" A fan page in honor of singer/songwriter/guitarist/producer Nancy Wilson from the legendary band Heart.
