About Liv Miraldi
Liv Miraldi is a powerful 21-year-old woman with a goal —to empower others to live their stories beyond creating them on Snapchat and Instagram. A Nashville-based solo artist, Liv Miraldi fuses together fresh pop and R&B. Most well known for her distinct voice, New York Post has described Miraldi’s vocals as “intoxicatingly creepy.” Miraldi is fierce, passionate, and raw in both her intimate acoustic sets and her beat-driven pop songs. Born Olivia Miraldi outside of Cleveland, Ohio, she immersed herself in music from a young age. At only 7 years old, she began writing songs and putting her stories on a page. She found her voice in her father's home studio, where she spent all of her time. She attended Lake Ridge Academy's School of Fine Arts where she studied vocal performance and in 2012 she was accepted into the Interlochen Songwriting Program. Miraldi relocated to Nashville in 2013 to pursue her artistry at Belmont University after getting accepted into their songwriting program in the Mike Curb College of Music Business. It was there she met Jonathan Timberlake, brother of Justin Timberlake, and the two knew they could create something amazing together. Under the moniker LIV, their collaborative artistry brought about “Poison in the Blood,” which was featured in Elle, E! Online, Marie Claire, VH1, InStyle and many more. In 2015, Miraldi released her EP Trilogy as LIV. Big City Thoughts magazine described it as “...more than just a collection of songs. The writing process was an outlet for her to express feelings about events in her life that she didn’t necessarily understand or want to share with anyone.” After years performing under LIV, she strips away all the filters by embracing a new sound and her own name: Liv Miraldi. In April 2017, she collaborated with EDM producer, Ken Loi as a featured vocalist on the track “Hollow”, released on his label, Arkade (owned by Kaskade). The song is garnering attention from a wide variety of notable indie tastemakers. The Music Ninja says, “Together these two made a future-filled jam that we can’t get out of our heads.” The track was recently featured in a Kaskade tour video and LA Galaxy’s 2017 season highlight reel. On June 2nd, Miraldi will release her own raw new single “Undertow,” an enigmatic mix of electropop and R&B. Inspired by a dream, “Undertow” is an invitation into Miraldi’s psyche, representing times when she felt as though she could barely keep her head above water. The lyrics ultimately lead to the resting place of Miraldi’s former musical identity. “Undertow” asks the question, can we survive our circumstances by separating ourselves from old identities? It’s up to the listener to decide. Miraldi has spent 2017 splitting her time between Los Angeles, where she recently celebrated her first sold out show at Hotel Cafe, and Nashville. This summer, live show dates will include sets in Italy and France.
