She hosts the fabulously quirky old-time music variety show called the Southern Flavor Show which features Berlin's very best Rip-Roarin' Bluegrass, Gypsy Swing, Roots Music, Country n' more! plus many other special characters and eccentric appearances performing prodigious feats of musical mastery and playing rare and unorthodox instruments. Not to mention a fair peppering of BEDLAM & SHENANIGANS, and bourbon specials all night long. This red-headed little lady with a voice soaked in bourbon and tinged with vermouth dazzles with her costume changes and shoe collection. Miss Laura Bean can't escape her musical upbringing, growing up in a log house with old records and 8-track recordings and in a family of musicians that played bluegrass, as well as being heavily influenced by the vagabond gypsy swing and jazz of the Berlin underground. At one of her irreverently humorous live performances, you will most probably hear a grand mish-mash of old murder ballads, rip-roarin' bluegrass tunes, swingin' jazz about her tendency to overindulge and honky-tonk country songs about boozin', playin' music, and the female condition.
