Espen Eriksen Trio

Das Konzert fing sehr „brav“ an und das Publikum war etwas reserviert. Nach dem zweiten Titel steigerte sich das Trio, es wurde lebhafter, lebendiger und die Stücke waren gespickt mit exzellenten Solos der Protagonisten, besonders des Bassisten. Nach der Pause waren sie perfekt auf einander eingestellt und spielten phantastisch wie aus einem Guss. Ein ganz großartiges Konzert, nicht zu laut in dem sehr kleinen Club. Für uns unvergesslich und für alle, die skandinavischen Jazz mögen, eine unbedingte Empfehlung.

It was my first visit to Victoria Jazz Club. This place is perfect. Quality of the sound was absolutely perfect. All the songs were linked together in perfect music flow. I was thrilled.

Superb musicians and jazz at at its best. It's great that the Traverse is offering these musical opportunities to jazz musicians and audiences.

Extraordinary performance. Love their style of jazz music that is subtle, unpretentious, yet musically amusing. I regret to not have bought a vinyl record and have them signed on spot. Now I loop through their songs on Tidal, especially "In the Mountain", all day.

Such a great concert! Beautiful compositions and excellent soloists. A rhythmical piano paired with a melodic saxophone and Bass. Excellent drum accompaniment- I loved the “brushes” sound 😉🤗
