DARÏYA [də‘ri:ə] (Дари́я) – jazz and soul singer gifted with a deep varied vocal range. DARIYA passes through herself the rhymes of jazz, beats of funk, soul and blues melodies. Using classical standards and her own songs she mixes them in a unique manner and delivers with great passion, energy and love to her audience. Followers new and old may have seen DARIYA perform within musical festivals such as “Usad’ba Jazz”, “Afisha’s Picnic”, “Fête de la Musique”, “Total Flame”, “Wake Weekend” and others. Anatoly Ice & DARIYA DJ-&-vocal duet of Anatoly Ice & DARIYA brings you the music in their own special way. Repertory consists of famous funk hits from blaxplotation age and as of their own songs. In 2014 Anatoly Ice & DARIYA decided to widen their project and invited new musicians to the band – saxophone, trumpet and guitar. Now they are directly involved in recording of the new material and live sessions. http://anatolyice.ru DARIYA & Jazz Masters In 2013 DARIYA creates her own project based on her interpretation of famous jazz songs and her own material. Strong team of musicians brings out the possibility to experiment and add the new perception to the familiar songs. Ex-projects: From 2011 to 2013 DARIYA collaborated with the band Orange Juice (now – Oran Juzz). Together they performed musical styles: funk, samba and bossa-nova, sometimes mixing it with pop-rock and blues. The band also released SP “Real Thing (2011), single and video on the song “Sunrise Samba” (2011), single and video “TIME” (2013). http://oranjuzz.ru From February 2012 until June 2013 DARIYA collaborated with a famous Russian bluesman Sergei Voronov (leader of the band Crossroadz). DARIYA performed with him in some evening blues “Open G Jams” with the friends (Yuri Novgorodsky – guitar, Dmitry “Veteran” Chectnykh – bass, Michael Vladimirov – harmonica, Alexey “Lex” Blokhin – keys). Lovers of this music style could hear classical blues as well as DARIYA and Sergei Voronov’s own songs and many interesting improvisations and versions of jazz and blues songs.
