Sol Frequency

Sol Frequency is one of the fresh new bands emerging from the Northeast that is popping up everywhere and bringing their growing fan base with them. Their sound is a perfect blend of intricate compositions, relaxed funk grooves, and beautiful improvisation right where you want it. All of this is material is fueled by the exciting interactive experience with the crowd. It’s always a two way street! Their repertoire features sounds of funk, rock, prog, electro, and a touch of avant garde. Coming off of their first featured residency (and with another on the way) at The 8x10 in Baltimore, MD, Sol Frequency is continuing their journey through live music. Having also played at Baltimore Soundstage and Ram’s Head Live, their fan base continues to expand throughout the Northeast. Formed in Baltimore, MD, Sol Frequency is comprised of Charlie Blatt (guitar and vocals), Tyler Facinoli (keys and vocals), Ben Schmier (bass), and Nathan Shulkin (drums and vocals). When playing together, these four musicians can collectively feed off each other’s energy to create a fun and unique experience in each song and every show they put on. Also, known for complex medleys, Sol is all about captivating listeners with their intense jams and contrived breakdowns. Sol Frequency has had the pleasure of being the direct supporting act for excellent regional and national acts, such as Big Something, Consider the Source, People’s Blues of Richmond, Tweed, and Moogatu. They have also held the privilege of sharing festival bills with top national acts like Big Gigantic, The Werks, Papadosio, Dopapod, TAUK, and Twiddle.
