Piezo

Piezo est un groupe de Québec, fondamentalement inspiré du rock progressif mais de plusieurs autres styles musicaux, du métal, alternatif et post-rock jusqu’au pop, indie et blues. Le groupe a lancé le 22 mai 2012 son premier album studio. « Scene I : Harlequin » est un album concept, de soixante minutes de rock progressif qui vous entraîneront dans un récit musical aux ambiances nombreuses et variées. Il est disponible en écoute libre ainsi qu’en vente sur le site web au piezotheband.com. Un second album est en cours d’enregistrement au Hemisphere Studio et verra le jour en 2015! Le groupe a d'abord été formé en 2009 par Gabriel (batterie), Patrick (guitare) et Jean-François (basse) suite au démantèlement de Lamentations, groupe hommage à Opeth existant depuis quelques années, auquel se sont ajoutés François (claviers et piano) puis Julien (voix et guitare acoustique). Des changements dans l’alignement en 2014 ont amené le groupe à accueillir Jonathan (basse), complétant ainsi la formation actuelle. ------- Piezo is an emerging band from Quebec city, mostly inspired by progressive rock but also by many other musical influences, from metal, alternative and post-rock to pop, indie and blues. « Scene I : Harlequin », which was released on May 22nd 2012, is a sixty minute concept album that will bring you from classic prog and blues, to modern rock and metal. This is the band's first studio album and it is available for free online streaming at piezotheband.com. A second album is being recorded and will be released in 2015! The band was founded in 2009 by Gabriel (drums), Patrick (guitars) and Jean-François (bass) after the dismemberment of Lamentations, an Opeth tribute band, to which were added François (keyboards and piano) and Julien (vocals and acoustic guitars). In 2014, line-up changes lead to the add-on of a new bass player, Jonathan. Rock aux influences indie, post-rock, progressives et blues.
