About Raheem Kashon

I am the son of a minister and a singer. I was born April 20, 1983 in Winston-Salem, NC. I was born to a singer with a nimble voice and a preacher with a gift for ministry. Like the both of them I too posses the ability to use the voice to wield spiritual energy into transformative physical expressions. It is my strong belief that it is the result of the ministerial and musical qualities they passed onto me that I express myself in the manner I do. The voice as a spiritual thing that exists in a place where it can represent anything to anyone and if people are willing to listen to what it has to say over the pervasive voices of mainstream culture then we, the singers; Then we the ministers have done our jobs. "It is my purpose as a singer to voice basic human experiences; to be a model of less restrictive creativity, and to create room for musical freedom so that others might realize the want to free themselves. To be a voice for whoever may need one."
