We Arsons

We Arsons is an Alternative Folk and 90's rock band based out of San Francisco, CA. The music is a mix of 90’s alternative rock and indie folk. With classic folk melodies, richly layered guitars and keys, and a driving beat, the goal is to create a soundscape that is constantly experimenting with itself. The themes of the continuously-evolving sound are heavy, acoustical rhythms/melodies and alternative rock walls. Ethereal sounds and aesthetics surround surrealistic lyrics properly syncopated to accentuate the different sections of each track, all of which blend in such a way as to make a song that can only be written by this band. Michael Ballan has been writing songs since he was a teen and more seriously since attending UC Santa Cruz. When he graduated, he moved to San Francisco looking for musicians and friends to help bloom the idea of a sound that mixed traditional folk with cosmic grunge; the band was started shortly after. We Arsons released their debut album, Weather Making, in March of 2015, and will be releasing a new EP this coming summer of 2016. Stay tuned!
