Startled by Silence

STARTLED is a hardcore / metalcore band from Utrecht, the Netherlands. They bring a great mix of heavy riffs, catchy melodies and smashing breakdowns. Startled is currently working on their debut album, which will be the start of a new sound for the band. The five-piece’s new sound is faster, more technical and riff-heavy. Peter, the frontman, brings a vast array of different vocals. Although he looks like a sweet kid, he sounds like an aggressive beast on a rampage. Guitarists Tijmen and Joost bring an arsenal of technical and melodic riffs. Together they make a good blend of singing melodies and pounding rhythms. All of this leans on the drummer and bass player. With a steady beat and concentrated look, Justin hits his cymbals and cannon of a snare with a load of confidence.
