Danielle Oliver

From her first piano lesson at the age of six, singer/songwriter and pianist Danielle Oliver has never looked back. Learning at this early age, it wasn’t long until she began writing and performing her own work. All this hard work has been poured into Danielle Oliver’s debut EP Sun For Snow. Although Oliver calls Montana, USA home, she spent much of her youth attending school in her mother’s native country of Austria. It’s no surprise then that much of her creative influence comes from her love of Austrian culture and music, nature, and skiing. Danielle ventured to Los Angeles to study Music and Writing at Pepperdine University. While there, her father’s passing brought a new life to her music as she sorted through an unfamiliar and paralyzing time of grief. During the next few years, she used her new perspective to write a vast collection of songs that would lay foundation for what would eventually become Sun For Snow. She thrived as an active musician in the Los Angeles music scene, performing her songs at notable clubs such as the House of Blues and the Knitting Factory in Hollywood. After graduating, Danielle returned back to Montana in order to begin the formation of her debut EP, Sun For Snow. Working with older songs as well as writing brand new ones, she recorded her debut release with recording engineer and producer, Brett Allen (Dan Deacon, Death Cab For Cutie) at SnowGhost Music. This EP truly depicts Danielle’s growth as a musician and as a person. Her use of lyrical storytelling backed by the intricate instrumentation from the glockenspiel, mellotron, and organs, creates smooth and playful melodies that often have the audience humming along. Danielle has toured throughout the Western United States in support of the album as well as making stops in Western Europe.
