Amazing night🤙🏾 Im not much for going out but couldn’t miss the opportunity to see such great artists under one roof. Vibe was great, music was out of this world. True Angelic Funk sounds that move the soul.

About Dam-Funk
DāM-FunK is a self-taught musician, producer & record collector / DJ. Raised in Pasadena, Ca & living all over parts of Los Angeles County, he’s recorded music ever since he was a child. His first mentor was Leon Sylvers III, who he learned a lot from, early on, right out of high school.
DāM has collaborated with many artists in the music world, first as a keyboard session player. Soon after toiling in that world of music (& also running a weekly Club night called: Funkmosphere, where he was able to share his meticulous record collection with the city, alongside like-minded peers), he caught the attention of L.A. based indie record label owner Peanut Butter Wolf; of Stones Throw Records & released his first ‘officially signed‘ music there. He would soon travel the world many times over (both in-band mode & DJ mode) in support of his debut album: “Toeachizown”, as well as his other projects released on Stones Throw & other music outlets. After working on many remixes (Animal Collective, Toro Y Moi, The Avalanches, Cut Copy, Nite Jewel, etc.) & collaborative projects (Snoop Dogg, Steve Arrington, etc), production/song contributions (Christine & The Queens, Mac Miller, Tyler The Creator, etc.) + touring with the legendary Todd Rundgren for 3 months; he finally pushed the button on his own label: Glydezone Recordings. 2016 was the company’s debut, with its first project: Nite-Funk (Nite Jewel & DāM-FunK). Soon after, there came smaller DāM-FunK boutique projects via Glydezone (the Architecture & STFU series for example) & pseudonyms such as GARRETT (on Music From Memory ‘vinyl’ / Glydezone ‘digitally’).
As the new decade dawns, DāM now finds himself embracing all of the latest technology x interests that he’s always held in his mind while traveling the world non-stop: fashion, instruments, art & related. The future looks bright. And, DāM is as excited as ever & ready to share ‘his future’ with all of humanity & beyond.
