The venue was very nice, great seating with good views. Elvis put on a great show. But the sound was muddy and bottom heavy . Couldn't hear the keyboards at all unless they were the only instrument playing. Everything blended together into a mushy bass-heavy mess. Don't get me wrong, I love the frozen margaritas and skyline chili dogs. But we came for the music, and it wasn't good.

OMG, I'm 66 and I've been a fan of Elvis Costello and Nick Lowe since I was in college in the early 80s. The concert was glorious, the evening was cool and clear. I'd seen them both before, but it was my first time at the Greek Theater. What a lovely venue. My only complaint is that they really need to provide more options for folks with limited mobility. I came in from out of town for the concert, so I didn't have a "disabled" tag for my rental car. We ended up having to park a few miles away and Uber in. Then we reserved an Uber to pick us up. IMHO, the Uber/Lyft/Ride share area is not clearly marked and since wifi is very inconsistent in the area. it's easy to not be able to hook up with your reservation. We ended up taking a cab.

Excellent show with finale of "(What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love, and Understanding" with songwriter Nick Lowe. Surprised Elvis didn’t mention that the original video for that song was filmed in Vancouver back in the ‘70s! First of all, one of the best venues in the U.S. Classic, historic Paramount Theater. The setlist was a nice balance between the deeply familiar and the yet-to-be discovered. Wonderful to see the core three of EC, Steven Nieve and all-time legendary drummer Pete Thomas, ably joined by a bassist and guitarist (who everyone thought was Kevin Bacon in disguise). Elvis gamely soldiered on, even after slicing his finger on his harmonica and subsequently bleeding on his instruments. Stunning encore featured a very pointed juxtaposition between Night Rally and (What's So Funny About) Peace, Love and Understanding. Night Rally was a particularly apt (and somewhat chilling) choice for Charlottesville, itself the site of some horrifying night rallies a few years ago.

We ( sitting 1st row gallery , centre) all thought the sound was muddy, over bassed and sometimes the band did not seem in sync with EC's singing. The band itself was tight. I saw the show @ the Elmo in 78 and the Heatwave . His transformation as an artist is amazing, but to be honest I prefer the 45 min. show of ripping R and R of those days....

Great venue. Sound for Elvis was awful (opening act sounded great). As for the performance, Elvis seems to have lost the ability to sing on key in the middle of his range, and the middle of the set was packed with indulgent, non-musical, poorly performed filler. I have seen him before, at this venue. This was not a good show.

It was Elvis Costello like you want to see him. The show was a strong couple of hours at The Historic Cain’s Ballrom Tulsa and it was packed. He came out in a gold sequined jacket and rocked out with a some crowd pleasing music. He told stories, shared his thoughts and played a wide variety of his work including his poignant ballads before wrapping up the show with hard hitting high energy rock and roll. Great fun.

Elvis was in great form. His voice was strong even after the throat cancer . It was his 1st show in Phoenix in years and worth the wait. As usual he played songs throughout his vast volume . Highlights for me were Pump it up, Mystery Dance, Hey Clockface and of course his usual closing with Peace, Love and Understanding. Elvis is top 5 in songwriting and performing

The show was good, Elvis was great, but regardless of what Elvis Presley Enterprises says about the sound system here it was awful. Maybe it is the acoustics in this metal building or maybe it was just too loud but we both agreed the sound quality sucked. The old Pyramid had better acoustics. I saw Costello at Mud Island and even being an outdoor venue the sound was great. But again as for Elvis he played all of his hits and some newer things. I was just disappointed with the sound.

The set was great though I was disappointed with the Mahaffey acoustics. I LOVED everything that was going on in the show, so much to look at! The last time I saw him perform live he was at The Palladium, NYC in nineteen seventy nine. So glad he beat the Big C and continues to share his time and talent with us.

Elvis does not seem to stick to a standard set list. He has some standard songs that he plays but the order is different show to show. Other songs he adds some nights but not others. Makes each show unique and memorable. Was hoping he would play Radio Radio like he had done at some previous shows. No such luck. I posted some videos from this show on YouTube.

He jammed as much as he could into this show!! It was fantastic. I really wanted to head Veronica but, I have yet to see him sing it live. I worry that he is putting too much into it. Lol, his health must come first. Seriously, one of THE BEST SHOWS. Blondie was fantastic too. (Rapture was a little rough but she can still do the rap!l)

Good show. Elvis' voice isn't quite as strong as it once was (no surprise) but strong band and backing vocals more than made up for that. First time at that venue and the 'all on one level' seating was a little challenging for us not-so-tall folks. Good video screens on both sides of the stage helped.

EC was great, but the venue was lacking with narrow seats and felt more like a conference room. Also, first two songs his guitar and monitor were not working. The show was much shorter than other shows just before. The performances were great after everything kicked in. Would rather see him in a more suitable concert hall.

Elvis was great. First time seeing him live and he did not disappoint. He covered a lot of ground from the course of his career but Allison was the showstopper for me. Only reason I didn’t give him 5 stars is the acoustics in Constitution Hall. I have never liked that venue for that reason and, while Costello and his team did an admirable job, it was not great.

Around '93 I saw a program on Swedish television about the release of an album called 'The Juliette Letters'. It was a collaboration between a string quartet and this nerdy looking guy in glasses. I had never heard of either. Then again, I wasn't very old. It blew me away! Especially the quality of the lyrics. This was my first meeting with the lyrical genius of Elvis Costello. I came to love his music, and even more so his lyrics, and I even convinced my girlfriend to name our daughter after one of his songs — Alison. And last night I got to see him perform his one-man show 'Detour' at the Concert Hall here in Gothenburg. He liked the acoustics so much that not only did he go all-out unplugged and play two songs walking around in the audience, he even sat down amongst us. One of those two songs was 'Alison'. He also gave a beautiful rendition of 'Shipbuilding' and went completely ballistic with the delay pedal on 'Watching the Detectives', another two favorite songs of mine. He closed the show with Nick Lowe's '(What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love, & Understanding', a question as relevant today as ever. One of the best evenings I ever had!

This was of Elvis's many fine shows, but one of my favorites. Like all the greatest entertainers, he buys more than a show on. His show is a love affair with music made possible with an improbable band. His songs have not only stood the test of time, he is one of the few punk rollers to cross over, to every genre of music. He is the king.

Fantastic Show! The Arlington is a great venue with great sound. EC played for 2 1/2 hours. Lots of old favorites and a few surprises. His voice is amazing. Guests on a few numbers were Jimmy Vivino on guitar and piano, Larking Poe (opening act) and John McFee of Clover reprised his guitar parts on a few tunes from My Aim Is True. All joined in for last song What's So Funny About Peace, Love and Understanding. Los Angeles (& subsequent dates) you are in for a wonderful show! Elvis is king!

Elvis &The Imposters played mostly their biggest hits from 7:30 - 8:30 pm.Then stage changeover to Steely Dan and all hits from them! Becker and Fagan STILL got it! I loved the 3 Danettes back-up singers! They played for almost two hours finishing with a two tune encore... Last one being Reeling in the Years! One of the best IF not THE best concert I ever attended!
