About Little Dan
"WHAT A VOICE!!!"
“WOW!! WHAT A VOICE!!! Who are you?!? How do we find you?!?” were the first words shouted from the applause of an intimate crowd as a secret performance featuring an all star cast of musicians (Ben Kweller, David Garza, David Pulkingham) was wrapping up at the well known Trans-Pecos Festical of Music and Love in Marfa, TX. Dan Goebel "Little Dan" and his band were invited to perform at the Festival in September and they were very “stoked” to be sharing the stage with some of their favorite performers in the business.
(St. Vincent, Jenny Lewis, & Los Lobos, to name a few)
2018 has been a year of serious and praiseworthy momentum for Little Dan. The year started with Dan breaking a multi- year period of silence with a homecoming gig that found him playing to an almost Sold Out audience in Colorado seeing the head count nearing 400. “I just felt like playing again. I got tired of playing in bands that kept giving up. I knew I wanted to tour and perform and was finding out my friends weren’t into it the same way I was.”
Dan put a band together to perform what was to be a “one- off” set at a renowned coffee shop in Austin, Tx that doubles as a venue. “Me and my friends learned some new songs I had written and played our asses off just having a blast.”
This show would ignite a pattern of venues and promoters requesting for Dan and his band to bring their show around the state of Texas. “We literally have not gone out of our way to book a show since the coffee shop. Every time we play, a gig opportunity is presented to us and we say YES!”
Grammy nominated Music Producer Chris “Frenchie” Smith (Fastball, The Front Bottoms, Jet) caught wind of Dan’s music and the two hit it off immediately. They spent the summer recording what will be Little Dan’s debut album "Lovesick" (Out 2019). “I really love the record. I feel like the music just speaks for itself. Everyone involved feels genuinely proud of what we've made. Thats magic!”
