About Tom Cashman

Music, like life, is meant to be experienced. Such is the mantra of Tom Cashman, a singer/songwriter from Philadelphia.

In April 2011, "The Tom Cashman Experience" released their debut CD, “528”, a collection of 7 songs dedicated to the inner transformation of Tom’s personal life. “This is CD is my life from November 2009 to January of 2011 in song format”, Tom recalls. “528” can be found anywhere music is sold online.

In January of 2012, the band recorded two new singles, which draws from the proven formula of Tom’s multi-layered lyrics and the band’s simple yet dynamic sound.

“Cloud” is a part reggae/ska track with healthy chunks of soul and classic rock, mixed together for a fresh and fun track to listen to. The other single, “Smoke Break” is not a new song for Tom, as there are acoustic demos of this song from around 2007. This track is all about being there for friends who are spending too much time thinking. The idea is that we can’t always remove the thinking, but we can change the environment around them and maybe that will quiet the mind a little. The band made a video for this track and asked their fans to submit photos of themselves with a friend. The video is on YouTube and the band’s Facebook and ReverbNation pages.

The band can normally be found in the Philadelphia area, having played at Puck in Doylestown, The Legendary Dobbs, on South Street, a PFD charity event in Center City, and even a few live shows at the studio where all of their songs were recorded.

In June 2012, Tom opened for Jeffrey Gaines at a sold out show at Puck.
