This Resistance

'This Resistance' are a York based band that formed in the summer of 2011. The band desires to write and play music that is not only creative and skilful, but stands for what they perceive to be life-changing truth. The name "This Resistance" reflects the belief that we may have to go against the world if we want to find truth for ourselves. The band’s lyrics will often include a spiritual element, influenced by their faith as Christians, and a challenge to confront our perceptions about life. They were quick to write a number of songs, and since 2011 'This Resistance' have gained momentum through gigs across the UK. In January 2014, 'This Resistance' recorded their first 3 track EP 'Start this over' which was released in March 2014.
