Kyle Richardson

A proud Canadian singer-songwriter, Kyle Richardson grew up in the small town of Vernon BC. Drawing from personal experiences, he writes songs that aim for the heart, focusing on melody and lyrical content true to past experiences and emotions. No stranger to competition, Kyle has excelled in several local talent contests, former band Plan B won the annual Funtastics Battle of the Bands -gaining the experience to open for Steppenwolf, and was the second runner-up in Okanagan Star Search. Other performance credits include gigs at Komasket Music Festival and the Rare Earth Jazz and Blues festival, singing alongside mentor and Juno-Nominated artist Sazacha Red Sky (whose credits include backing vocals on successful singles by Bon Jovi, Cher, Loverboy, etc..). Following in his mentors footsteps, Kyle has been performing backing vocals on many albums coming out of Vancouver, including 2012 releases by The Dudes, Elias, and Seventh Rain. Recently Kyle has been writing new material for his first album, co-writing with such artists as Carly Rae Jepsen, Stef Lang, and Laurell. His song 'Bleed Forever' was featured on the season premiere of The LA Complex, which aired on MuchMusic, CTV, and The CW network. With help from producer Jeff Dawson (Daniel Powter, State of Shock, Kelly Rowland, The Dudes), and mix engineer Mike Fraser (ACDC, Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, Hedley, etc..), Kyle is proud to see his first album nearing completion.
