About The Mercy Alliance
The Mercy Alliance is a Washington DC based band led by songwriter Joe Rathbone specializing in emotive, melodic indie rock with an aggressive rhythm section. The band features drummer BAM Feldman who's raw direct playing propels our sound, and bassist Ken Spector whose lyrical playing provides a great foil for Rathbone’s raw baritone and gritty guitar playing. Andrew Ratliff rounds out the sound with great harmonies and percussion.
"Some Kind of Beautiful Story" was released on Sep 9th 2014 in the US on Beverly Martel Music. Recorded in producer Thomas Johansen's studio in VA, the record features drummer Steve Bowman (ex Counting Crows) and bassist Brad Jones as well as string work from longtime associate David Henry.
A new record is in the works for Spring 2018 !
"Some Kind of Beautiful Story" was released on Sep 9th 2014 in the US on Beverly Martel Music. Recorded in producer Thomas Johansen's studio in VA, the record features drummer Steve Bowman (ex Counting Crows) and bassist Brad Jones as well as string work from longtime associate David Henry.
