Bodunrin Gbeminiyi a.k.a Niyi A Pede Ogidi (acronym as N.A.P.O) is a lagos based songwriter, producer, rapper and singer signed to “POLAR COVERING”. Initially, Napo had an aspiration to become a visual artiste until 1991 when his attention was diverted to music by his cousin (yussuf) who urged him to explore his music potential. Napo kick-started his music career as an hip-hop act (rapper) in 2001, he founded a group called “THE WHISKY” with whom he did a couple of tracks but due to the relocation of some of its members, the group was dissolved as Napo started his life as a solo artiste and got signed to Five Micz Entertainment in 2004. There he was groomed into a producer by the versatile and prolific producer cum artiste called “Mo Dogg” There as a solo artiste, Napo wrote and produced his very first single titled “AYATO” which he released under Five Micz Entertainment in 2004. The track gained tremendous acceptance especially from his surulere fans and this induced many artiste such as( Dagrin, wizkid, biglo, mustee: kwam1’s son) to collaborate with him. Napo’s zeal and consistency earned him Dagrin’s friendship and was later signed to “MISOFUNYIN ENTERTAINMENT” (late Dagrin’s Label) in January 2010. The Demise of the CEO made him to part ways with the label. Now signed to “POLAR COVERING” it can only get better as he begins to drop his singles off his forth coming Ablum.
