Lower the Veil

LOWER THE VEIL In 2000, singer/guitarist/songwriter Damien Baldwin became a refugee of the New England state of Massachusetts and found himself in the Garden State, where the flourishing music scene would accept him as an equal. There Baldwin would start a project with bassist Rob Lampe called Friends of Bill Wilson. In 2008, Friends of Bill Wilson would release their first CD, Surface Tension. Their music was edgy and intriguing, which helped their fan base grow immensely, but Baldwin still felt something was missing. In the Spring 2011, Baldwin and Lampe chose to replace their drummer with Casey Ferry and their rhythm guitarist with Chris Siano. Both men are no strangers to the New Jersey music scene and brought with them experience and talent that really complimented the group. To coincide with the changes in the band, Baldwin decided to also transform the name of the band to Lower the Veil. The band quickly caught the attention of 6-time Grammy Award winning producer, Joe D’Anofrio (Jimmy Sturr and Pat Martino), who attended one of their performances in June 2011. Lower the Veil completed their second CD, The 100th Monkey, which was released on January 28, 2012. Out of desire to express passion for the characteristics of mind and perception of reality, The 100th Monkey seemed to be exactly what Baldwin had looking for. That was until November 9th, when the band released their expolsive latest album "SOON" which has set a whole new standard for not only the band but home recordings everywhere.
