The Worriers

The Worriers are an indie-pop band from Brisbane, Australia. Their sound is a collision of heavy guitars, dance-rock drums and powerful harmonies, combining the best of the 60s, 90s and today into something unique and accessible. They have spent the past two years playing shows around the east coast, including supports for The John Steel Singers, The Griswolds, Sheppard, Hey Geronimo, The Cairos and Velociraptor among others as well as releasing two singles to universally positive reception, earning a number of glowing reviews and airplay on both Triple J and Unearthed Radio. The band’s forthcoming single, Mama Said will be released on November 27, supported by their fourth interstate tour for 2014. Adding to an already-busy end to the year, The Worriers will be supporting Philadelphia Grand Jury and performing at grassroots music and arts festival Jungle Love in November.
