About Russell Joslin
Russell Joslin
'...living proof of how fresh, vigorous and abrasive an acoustic songwriter can and should be in the 21st Century.' – Tom Robinson, BBC 6 Music
‘Explosive, hard hitting folk ... a much needed gust of fresh air into the British folk scene.’ - Subba-cultcha.com
Russell Joslin brings the tradition of the folk singer-songwriter into the 21st century with a new stridency; representing the new breed of socially engaged, DIY wordsmiths with the non-industry ethics of punk and the musical elements of folk. Currently touring accompanied by the darkened vocals of Australian soulmate Sarah McCaig, forming a haunting and confrontational duet - ‘the musical charge they generated together was truly electrifying’ – Musicboxfolk.com
