Soleb Theory

Soleb Theory is a funk-fusion band from Wichita, KS, formed in 2010. They play an eclectic mixture of punk, funk, metal and ska with an underlying Latin element. After two years of playing in and around Wichita, founding members Drew Colcher and Alejandro Alamos relocated to Santiago, Chile, where drummer Andres Alamos was brought into the fold. The newly-reformed trio performed its first shows in Santiago before returning stateside. The band spent the next year building their chops and writing new songs, while also self-releasing a 5-song EP "The Sunroom Sessions." In 2014 the band began tracking for their first full-length album and increasing the amount of travel, playing 100 shows in 17 states. Their self-titled LP was released in July of of that year on Kirby's Beer Store Records. The departure of Alejandro brought bassist/vocalist Brody Wellman to the group, before which the band did a 5-week, 11-state tour in support of the album.
