HIS BEGINNINGS He is a DJ born in Murcia, Spain. He got into music from a very young age; experiencing a wide variety of styles such has hard rock, metal, hip-hop, funk, soul, etc. It wasn’t until late 2001 when he left the band in which he played guitar and fell in love with a new style, break-beat, a genre dominated by artists of the size of Plump DJs, Krafty Kuts, Stanton Warriors.. etc. CARRER AND EXPERIENCE AS EVENT PROMOTER As a consequence of attending numerous parties in which the breakbeat was the predominant style, he started to identify more and more with this genre. In late 2003, he decided to buy some DJ equipment and he started performing as a DJ, pushing himself into the field of the electronic music. In 2004 and 2005, he collaborated in the organization of several events and raves in Murcia, Spain. In 2006, he started his own promotion company "Big Riddim" and he started to organize his own parties and events. At this stage, his interest was in underground sounds such as Breakbeat, Drum&Bass, Electro. Two years later, he gambled on this type of music and started promoting his own events across the Venues and Dance Clubs of Murcia. Up until this point he had organised a total of 9 events in different venues (Sala Gamma, Nuevo Garaje Tia Maria, Royal Place, Discoteca Novo). 2012 can be considered as his most successful year, organizing three massive events (known as Big Riddim Festival) with an average assistance of 7-1200 people. Big International names such as Tantrum Desire, Document One and Far Too Loud have participated in these events. WHEN PERFORMING He can be characterized as a DJ who always plays the most exclusive selection of music, who is constantly looking for the latest hits and never repeats a song. With a very energetic and elegant touch, he interacts with the audience creating an environment full of energy. He likes to innovate and experiment with new sound effects, with an excellent technique developed through the years of cutting, mixing and creating long effects. His DJ equipment consists in a Macbook Pro, Traktor Pro and Kontrol X1, in which he is able to mix digital and analog recordings (Traktor, CDs and Vinyl Records). His sessions consist of a wide variety of electronic music, like Glitch Hop, Dubstep, Electro, Indie, Electro-House, Techno, Deep House, Tech- House, etc.; but always emphasizing on his favourites styles like Breakbeat, Drum&Bass and Drumstep. He likes to create all types of progressions on his sessions in order to avoid been stuck in the same rhythm. He is able to understand the mood of his audience, and let them lead the session though their energy. In other words, he is a hurricane who will make you dance until your legs can't take anymore! No fue hasta finales del 2001, en el que dejó el último grupo de música con el que habia estado tocando la guitarra, el año que supuso el descubrimiento del estilo que lo enamoró, el breakbeat, dominado por artistas de la talla de The Prodigy, Plump Djs, the Crystal Method... ETAPA Y EXPERIENCIA COMO PROMOTOR Poco después fue asistiendo a numerosas fiestas donde predominaban los ritmos rotos, y cada día se sentía más identificado con aquello que era nuevo para él. A finales del 2003, decidió empezar a adueñarse de equipo para pinchar e intentar dar el primer paso en el mundo de la electrónica. Para demostrar un interés más que cercano a dicha cultura, se embarcó como colaborador de eventos y raves de esta rama que se realizaron en tierras murcianas durante el 2004 y 2005. En el 2006, crea el colectivo y promotora Big Riddim, con el que decide abrirse paso en el desarrollo de sus propios eventos. Dos años más tarde, decide centrar la promoción de sus eventos en Salas y Discotecas de Murcia, y seguir apostando por los sonidos underground que más le inquietaban. A día de hoy, con 6 eventos en salas a sus espaldas, se puede considerar el 2010 como el año que mejor reconocimiento y madurez ha tenido Big Riddim Festival, contando con una media entre 600-800 personas de asistencia en los 3 eventos que han protagonizado este avance. Han actuado artistas de gran parte de la geografía española, e incluso de fuera de ella, artistas de la escena drum&bass. electro, breakbeat y techno de primera línea nacional como: Deibeat (Cádiz, Digital Bounds Recordings), Prody (Cadiz, Raveart - Andalucia, Mejor Promotora Breakbeat del país), Dj Memo (Malaga, Pornoschool Records), Dave (Malaga - UK, The PootyClub Records), Lazza (Valencia, Bassline Abuse), Mc Mood (Madrid, Madrid Massive), The Brainkiller (Malaga, Bad Taste Recordings), Dub Elements (Sevilla, PRSPCT Recordings), Dirty & Acid (Sevilla, iBreaks Recordings), Fuck Norris (Murcia, Fresh Flesh), Ohcan (Valencia, Bassline Abuse), Dhos (Alicante, Black Company), Jose Rodriguez (Malaga, The Heat Productions), Frank Lozano (Granada, N-Mity Recordings), etc. A LA HORA DE PINCHAR Procura llevar una fina y exclusiva selección musical, puesto que es un Dj que siempre va cargado con las últimas novedades del momento, muy pocas veces le gusta repetir temas y siempre busca un toque elegante y muy enérgico en ellos, que compagina con una muy buena conexión con su público, al que le gusta animar y transmitir su energía. Con una técnica perfeccionada y pulida con el paso de los años, siempre intenta innovar en sus sesiones mediante cortes, mezclas largas, efectos. Haciendo uso de los sistemas digitales como Traktor y complementándolos tanto para Vinilos como para CDjs, actualmente actúa con un Macbook Pro, Traktor Pro y Controladora X1. Sus sesiones están abiertas a muchos estilos de electrónica, como pueden ser el Electro, Indie, Electro-House, Techno.. pero siempre marcando tendencia en los ritmos rotos que más le inquietan, Breakbeat y Drum&Bass. Le gusta crear progresión en sus sesiones y no quedarse estancado, por lo que intenta responder lo máximo posible al estado de ánimo del público, que es el que decide por donde va encaminada la sesión. ¡Sin duda, todo un huracán a los platos, que no parará hasta que tus piernas digan basta!
