About Gary Quinn

"If there’s a writer from this side of the pond capable of a career as a tunesmith on Music Row Gary Quinn is it…” Duncan Warwick - Editor of Country Music People

Born and raised in Omagh, Northern Ireland, Gary Quinn has become one of the most respected voices in UK country music. Inspired by country icons like Garth Brooks, Chris Young, and Cody Johnson, he has crafted a sound that blends classic storytelling with modern country melodies, resonating with fans on both sides of the Atlantic. His rich vocals and heartfelt songwriting have earned him multiple British Country Music Association (BCMA) Awards, including Male Vocalist of the Year and UK Songwriter of the Year.

With a string of No.1 singles on the UK Country Charts, Gary's music has also been featured on top Spotify and Apple Music editorial country playlists, further cementing his place as one of the genre’s most exciting voices. His ability to create songs that connect with listeners has made him a standout artist in the growing UK country scene.

Gary has performed at every major UK country festival, including C2C: Country to Country, The Long Road, Buckle & Boots, Black Deer Festival and Millport Country Music Festival. His reputation as a must-see live performer has taken him beyond the UK, with tours across Europe. A standout moment in his career has been multiple performances at Nashville’s legendary Bluebird Café, a coveted stage for songwriters worldwide.

Over the years, Gary has shared the stage with some of country music’s biggest names. He has toured with Phil Vassar, Kristian Bush, William Michael Morgan, and Jeremy McComb, and has also had the honour of opening for Clint Black, Chris Young, Bill Anderson, and Sunny Sweeney. His ability to connect with audiences, whether in an intimate acoustic setting or on a festival stage, has made him one of the leading figures in UK country music today.

Now, Gary is embarking on an exciting new chapter with his upcoming Nashville-recorded album, which showcases his evolution as an artist and songwriter. Two singles from the project—"Watch Me" and "Poison"—have already been released to critical acclaim, and his next single, "Heavy Boots", co-written with Grammy-winning songwriter Brett James (Carrie Underwood, Jason Aldean, Rascal Flatts), is set for release soon.

Beyond his own music, Gary is dedicated to supporting emerging UK country artists. Alongside Buckle & Boots, he has co-founded Country on the Clyde (Glasgow), Country on the Lagan (Belfast), and Boots on the Coast (Southampton)—all designed to provide a platform for new country talent. He has also written with numerous UK country artists, many of whom have released these songs, further cementing his impact on the genre.

In August 2024, Gary was named Caffè Nero’s Artist of the Month, with his music played across their UK stores, introducing his sound to an even wider audience. With a Nashville-produced album on the way, major festival performances, and a growing international following, Gary Quinn continues to help shape the future of UK country music.
