Mentes Diferentes

Striving to bring a message of unity to the Chicano community, the Chicano
collaborative project Mentes Diferentes never shies away from discussing social issues
regarding the Chicano experience.
The Sacramento-hailing collective comprises founder Reckless Reaction (Rodolfo J
Rodriguez), Rocky Raps Number One Contender, KEST, J-Loco from Brown Hustla
Records, and Chaotic Itilii. Some influences that the collective carries through their
sound stems from acts like Big Pun, Sick Jacken, Kid Frost, Delinquent Habits, Immortal
Technique, Tech N9ne, Cypress Hill, Wu-Tang Clan, Mr. Shadow, Mr. Lil One, Eminem,
and many more.
Expanding on his journey towards his music career, founder Reckless Reaction had
unfortunately endured a terrible drunk driving accident, nearly killing the artist. After
being placed on house arrest, he began taking music all the more seriously. After
majoring in Commercial Music Recording and receiving his associates degree at
America River College, Reckless Reaction later returned to expand on his computer
science education.
After creating the group, The Desperados, with help from friend/co-creator Vivacious V
(Victor Alejo), the group saw vast success, which led them to the formation of their
current collective, Mentes Diferentes. You can find Mentes Diferentes releases like El

latest album, "Different State of Mind," on May 5th, 2021.
Having been nominated for The Sammies multiple times in different categories and
opening for acts like Conejo, Young Dummer Boy, Zero from el Vuh, and others,
Mentes Diferentes wants to take this time to thank their broad fanbase for following
them on their ever-changing venture while promising new and exciting music for the
future.
