About Legend In Japan

Forming in late 2012, the past 18 months has been storming for the band supporting the likes of OPM and Fat Wreck Chord's Cobra Skulls on their UK tours. They played a slamming breakthrough slot at Europe’s biggest punk gathering Rebellion 2012 in Blackpool on the New Bands Stage (and went on to open the main stage the following year headlined by The Bronx) and then blew away the Hype Stage at Redfest alongside the likes of Hacktivist, Gnarwolves, Turbowolf and many others as well as performing at Scotland’s legendary Wickerman Festival alongside the likes of Sharks, The Skints and Bad Manners. They then supported Gnarwolves & Fat Wreck Chord's The Flatliners to a sold out Camden Underworld in as well as supporting The Red Paintings on their UK tour, and opening up The Camden Barfly Jubilee Club Night which due to an overwhelming success on the night, led to further residencies supporting the likes of Bleach Blood. The band also provided main support to OPM once again and Barb Wire Dolls at the Camden Barfly further to a string of UK dates on the DC Shoes Tour. Legend In Japan were a Punktastic 'Introducing' band (as per the link below) and completed a UK tour sponsored by Piston Head Lager supporting their debut EP Release ‘Welcome to the Pity Party’ culminating in the launch of the EP at a sold out Highbury Garage in London receiving positive reviews from the likes of Alt Sounds. This was followed by a tour of mainland Europe. http://punktastic.com/radar/introducing-legend-in-japan http://hangout.altsounds.com/reviews/156794-review-legend-japan-pity-party-ep.html The band also made their debut TV performance on the Dial M Music Show on SKY TV with a 3 song set, the show averages 150,000 viewers a week. Their debut video for Agitation! Propaganda! has also notched up over 7750 views (of which you can see here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eY5s_fQ_i6o ) LiJ put in a hell raising performance at this year’s Camden Rocks festival (Apologies, I Have None, Hounds, Sonic Boom Six, The Blackout and The Hype Theory) alongside nationwide club shows at legendary venues such as Nottingham's Rock City and Manchester's Dry Bar. LiJ have just completed a further UK tour supporting the release of their second EP ‘Kaiju’ including a support slot with punk rock legends Random Hand and rock upstarts Press To Meco, and also performing at Music Week's 'Rising' night at The Black Heart, London. With another UK tour in the works for early 2015 to support their 3rd EP set for release in January 2015. You can check their music out here: www.reverbnation.com/legendinjapan where the band currently sit in the Top 10 for London Rock Bands. You can catch Legend in Japan performing at Bar 42, Worthing on Saturday November 22nd, also performing at The Enterprise, Camden on Saturday December 13th for a Special Festive Show and to see in 2015 at The Finsbury, London on New Years Eve.
