For English see below Biografie De groep is in 2006 begonnen en bestaat uit acht musici uit Nederland, Spanje en Italië. Met hun achtergronden in de klezmer, Balkan, pop, jazz, Iraanse en Spaanse muziek maken ze een verfrissende en dansbare mix. Het nieuwe album 'Gipsy Trouble' laat de diversiteit van de band goed zien. Er wordt in vijf talen gezongen en de nummers variëren van vrolijke polka tot melancholische treurliederen. De groep leunt op Oost-Europese tradities, maar interpreteert deze op geheel eigen wijze. Met hun energieke liveshow krijgen ze ieder publiek aan het dansen en is de band ondertussen ervaringsdeskundige op het gebied van feestjes bouwen, zowel op straat als op het podium. De grappen en grollen op het podium verhullen niet, dat we hier met uitstekende musici te maken hebben en het samenspel is ook van hoge kwaliteit. Voor het eerst dit seizoen raakte de dansvloer flink gevuld.’ Verslag Festival Mundial 2012: ‘Hun muziek is een mix van klezmer, balkanmuziek en wat niet al - laten we het gewoon feestmuziek noemen, of, zoals men het halverwege de set brengt, circusmuziek. Aan geïnteresseerden heeft men alvast geen gebrek, want reeds bij de soundcheck zetten enkele Engelssprekenden (uitwisselingsstudenten?) het ongenadig op een dansen. Zij en de anderen die langzaam de Baboesjkatent binnendruppelen moeten dan nog even geduld betrachten, maar de toon is gezet - dit optreden is vanaf het prille begin een feestje. Dat men besluit te openen met een langzaam nummer, mag de pret niet drukken, en wanneer men dan het tempo opvoert, verandert de tent in een grote hossende, zweterige massa. Het is stervensdruk, en dat is ook volledig verdiend. With their backgrounds in the klezmer, Balkan, pop, jazz, Iranian and Spanish music make it a refreshing and danceable mix. The new album "Gipsy Trouble" shows the diversity of the band clearly. It is sung in five languages and the numbers vary from cheerful polka to melancholic mourning songs. The Group relies on Eastern European traditions, but interprets it in their own way. With their energetic live show they get any crowd dancing and the band is now expert in the field of party building, both on the streets and on stage.
