About The Watched
This diverse three-piece band first crossed paths in North Coast, NSW during 2010 but have been preparing long before then. In 2008, Jeff Adams (lead vocalist and guitarist) formerly established a popular band in Kalgoorlie, WA known as Modern Day Minds. MDM opened for headliners such as Cog, Sugar Army, Magic Dirt and Chasing Gravity. After MDM went their separate ways, Jeff and his former bassist relocated to NSW where they met drummer Josh Hayes and started producing demos for a new project they called The Watched. After months of unrelenting rehearsal and demoing, five songs were selected for their debut EP Circles. After a week in the studio it was mutually decided that circles was the standout track. Creating the video took two weeks of filming in five different locations and the band was eager to release their brand new clip. At the end of 2011, their bassist left The Watched to pursue a different career. This was a fork in the road for remaining members Jeff and Josh. They decided to press on with the project and the two set out to develop and demo every song they had. They were thrilled with the result. It was during this process that Trent Holder contacted the band and was given the role of bassist and harmonist. When the songs had finally been recorded, Jeff felt it was time to concentrate on the live act. It took many long rehearsal sessions but the band had a set that they couldn’t wait to share with the world. They quickly became a regular act at the Coff's Harbour Hotel and were soon invited to open for Triple J-chart-topping, Jinja Safari. The band is excited and currently planning to record their debut album. Lead singer Jeff says he ‘is in no rush’ and wants the songs on the debut to be ‘what the audience have reacted well to’. 2013 is looking to be a big year for The Watched with the next single currently being recorded and a tour around Australia mapped out. After the tour the boys will be pumped up and ready to record their Debut Album. The Watched will be trialing their new songs as well as playing their previous material in various locations. Be advised: if you have an opportunity to see them… do! Get our EP off iTunes=https://itunes.apple.com/au/album/circles-ep/id489605073 Or visit our MERCH store >>>>>>>>>>>>
