About Fanachronic

Fanatic, Chronic, Anachronistic. As the mists of time and space coexist inside and outside the mind, as humanity both progresses and regresses, as the crossroads of the past bring questions about what might have been, four minds congregate to expand on the hidden possibilities emanating from the idea that time itself may hold some unseen secret, to create a sonic timescape encompassing the many facets of life, to create a sound known as Fanachronic. 2010 was not the beginning, but it was a beginning. It was the year when two friends united their will to create something that truly resonated with them, a sound with no boundaries that doesn't drown itself in the quicksands of the present day. Through their shares of trials and efforts, of synchronistic and anachronistic events, they were joined by like minded warriors of timing and scheming, and finally set foot on the stages of Montreal to spread their echoes of woes and foes to those who dared lend an open mind and ear. Their stage show combines the raw energy of the thrash giants of yesteryear with an ever expanding quest for technicality, melody and musicianship, while keeping a degree of casualness and openness inherent to the local music scene. Their first album, Paradigm α: Aenigma, the first of a two part concept, shows the musings of a youth immersed in a world where the paradigms of society that served our ancestors start to fall apart at the seams and serve only those who despise the masses. The music put forth by the band effectively combines the raw aggression associated with trying to survive and thrive in an increasingly constrictive environment with optimism and hope for a better future, while hinting at the seeds of awakening. Each track stands as a chronicle of a state of mind, from the eternal dilemma of whether destiny offers us a choice, to the bland legacy of loveless lust, while even the nameless instrumental track stands as an ode to feelings no words can describe. Produced entirely by the members of the band, the album is an accurate crystallization of the evolution of Fanachronic through its initial years and hints ever so slightly at greater things to come. With a renewed lineup and confidence in their abilities, the members of Fanachronic now strive harder than ever to hone their skills and bring their sound to whoever craves honest music in this sea of clones and pretend musicians, and to unite their forces with all like-minded individuals and bands. Though they speak to no one, let their voice resonate in due time. Progressive Thrash metal band from Montreal, Qc!!!
