Battle of York

The Battle of York is an American Folk Rock group from Northern Virginia, formed in summer of 2011. Led by front man and guitarist Jimi York, the band includes guitarists Jon & Sam, vocalist Sarah, banjoist Shawn, bassist Kirk, pianist Travis Fowler and drummer Jake Frienzone. Their debut, "Junior," was independently released in July 2012. The Battle of York is currently touring the Virginia, DC & Maryland area, playing tunes with influences ranging from acts such as Dallas Green, the Lumineers and Fleetwood Mac. From the 1950’s style rock n’ roll of “Junior” to the Dallas Green inspired simplicity of “Like Clockwork,” each song has its own unique voice that collectively represents the Battle of York.
