About AB
Born and raised in Savannah, Ga. I lived there for 16 years until I moved to Conyers, Ga. For those who don't know, it rides the perimeter of Atlanta. It has always just been me and my mother. Of course, I always had a male figure around but at the end of the day, it's still me and my mom. She is a big inspiration to me and in everything I do.
I went to college for 2 years. My first year in college, at the University of Montevallo, I linked up with a few people who loved music and we all turned it into a group called HYB(Holla at ya Boy) Entertainment(myspace.com/hybentertainmentgroup). I left to enrolled into Middle Georgia College for basketball purposes. Things got crazy and I had to leave. That's when I decided to do things on my own and be a solo artist.
I love music and I've been bobbin' my head to it all my life. My father tried to start his own label and group but it wasn't successful. He was one of the singers and would try to get me in to listen or do something with them. But being in Atlanta made me more intuned with it. I had lyrics stuck in my head and it was time for them to come out so, I became a female solo artist and a writer. Now I write for myself and other artist.
I love the energy that it brings. You also get a high off the crowd, especially if they are feeling your music. Music is life. Hip-Hop is life. I am Absou'lute.
How did you get your name?
O, you would like to know how I got my name. Okay, let me explain. A friend of mine, Mr. Wilson, said he felt that I was all of it. I wrote music, rap, performed, produced and he said I just do all of it. So, I figured I can't be named "all of it". I found several words meaning "all" and absolute stood out to me. I had to spell it differently. Absolute means no limitations or unlimited, no boundaries, no restraints or unrestrained. It means I'm me at all times and I'm going to always do me no matter what and nothing can hold me down or hold me in...
