Lit On The Flash

Lit on the Flash are an alternative rock band. The band’s second, self-titled album Lit on the Flash was released online on July 13, 2012. “A heavy duty rock explosion — all big riffs, smart songwriting and catchy vocal melodies. A little early 90s alt-rock – think the driving thunder of Pearl Jam, or the swirling tones and vocals of Jane’s Addiction – but with a heart and soul that’s uniquely theirs." - Emily Burnham (Bangor Daily News) Lit on the Flash is Jake Roche on guitar and vocals, and Kerry Ryan on drums. Roche and Ryan had played in and out of a duo arrangement for many years as their own musical journeys had taken them each in varying directions. But their basement side project turned suddenly interesting as the two carved out a sound that incorporated all their years of hard experience. They began recording immediately with post-Electric Lady Engineer Travis Kline. The two recorded "Black Triangle Blues" and "My Baby" in a single day in Raymond, Maine. They started opening for local acts, rocking out hard and turning heads. They played original rock and roll, and they played it furiously. Lit on the Flash finally recorded their debut full-length album Revolution Time again with engineer Kline at his Panther Pond home in Raymond. The album was released in September 2011. The band have played and developed their live sound consistently since the very conception of the band. In recent months, Lit on the Flash has shared the stage with some of their fellow friends in the Maine music scene, including The Rustic Overtones, The Mallett Brothers Band, Mother Leopard, The Milkman’s Union, When Particles Collide, Dominic and the Lucid, and many others. Lit on the Flash released their eponymous second full-length album on July 17, 2012. The album is an aggressive and focused sound driven by Ryan's drums and Roche's explosive guitar work.
