About Heavy Necker
"Formed in the very unlikely climes of Peabody, Mass. a handful of years ago, Heavy Necker is a power trio in the clinical sense, a six-legged cyclone of balls-out, soul-powered rock ’n’ roll that belies not only their tender ages, but their whole generational zeitgeist, really."
-THE NOISE MAGAZINE
"If you're looking for some heavy blues look no further - Heavy Necker from Massachusetts are playing a lethal combination of riffs and blues jams on their new "Reptile Kings" EP. The release features 4 tracks that are as straight forward as you could wish for. The gritty and raw sound of the dynamic trio is highlighted by some dirty vocals that perfectly blend into the style of the band. While tunes like "Memento Mori" feature some stomping rock rhythms you can also find some intense grooves in a song like "Reptile Kings". This EP really got the full package of what you could expect from a good and heavy blues record."
-MOS EISLEY MUSIC
"Heavy Necker is more on the hard rock side, but definitely as heavy as the name implies. The people in the crowd wondering why Heavy Necker was on a metal show were the same people that could not stop talking about what a great show they put on after their set."
-NATIONAL ROCK REVIEW
"a trio of musicians that are as much 70's classic rock oriented as they are Southern and psychedelic in their hooks and melodies-think Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Rolling Stones with a little Clutch in there."
