WIP started as an arts and events venue in Barcelona in 2009, in the high tech district of 22@. WIP deals with all aspects of production, marketing and distribution of music products, publishing, event organizing, and artist and label management. The original WIP venue was a one year project venue housed in an early 1900′s renovated former typography. One of WIP’s biggest accomplishments was to be able to bring together and create a community of music lovers and art enthusiasts from around the world who came to call themselves “Wippers”, who continue to support and follow all WIP events and projects around the world. Although the original venue shut down March 2010, WIP continues to organize events around Europe and specially in its home base of Barcelona. Some of the events at the former WIP venue included art exhibits, documentary screenings, urban art shows, and of course music events. All of the events were private and invitation-only. WIP is known worldwide for organizing some of the coolest music events, specially in our hometown Barcelona, these are some of the artists that have performed at our events.
