LLUMEN, conceived as the brainchild of Pieter Coussement in the early 21st century, is a sonic journey through the realms of multi-layered dark electronic music. Characterized by pulsating beats, rapid sequences, and captivating melodies, LLUMEN effortlessly weaves influences from old-school EBM, gothic, techno, future pop, and more. With each composition, LLUMEN offers a novel experience, inviting listeners into a dynamic and ever-evolving sonic landscape.

Influenced by iconic acts such as Front 242, Haujobb, Diorama, Assemblage 23, Suicide Commando, and Covenant, Pieter pays homage to his musical roots while carving a distinct and innovative path. Following the debut album "The Memory Institute" and the 2021 release "Polygon Heart," LLUMEN welcomes 2024 with "The Breaking Waves." This latest chapter delves deep into the internal turbulence of recent years – a journey through health crises, personal introspection, and newfound serenity.
