About Deidre Thornell
Texas-native Deidre Thornell’s hardworking southern-charmed roots resonate through her soulful voice where storytelling meets show-stopping performances while creating an undeniable connection with listeners.
Heavily involved in the country music circuit in Texas, she has performed the National Anthem for many events, most notably the Dallas Cowboys and has had the opportunity to open for Nationally recognized acts Diamond Rio, Gretchen Wilson and Randy Rogers Band.
Deidre landed a National Finalist position in the Texaco Country Showdown Songwriting Competition with Jewel as the host of the show, performing at the Ryman Auditorium that aired on Great American Country Television which orchestrated her move to Nashville. She quickly immersed herself in town's chart-topping talent pool where she connected with songwriters Kirsti Manna (Blake Shelton, Big & Rich), Scott Sean White (Cody Johnson), Bill DiLuigi (Chis Young) and Helene Cronin (The Young Fables), pinning her first Nashville-produced EP ‘Dallas'. In 2022 Deidre co-wrote Mark Mulch’s (Priscilla Block, Randy Rogers Band) “Summer Songs,” earning them a spot in the Session II Finals for the prestigious John Lennon Songwriting Contest.
Deidre brought Ohio to Music City, making her way to 'The Nashville Sign,' a billboard sitting in the heart of Music Row that attracted media attention and new country fans everywhere from Dayton to Dallas on the debut release of her single 'Ohio,' recorded with Grammy-Nominated Producer Sal Oliveri (Chris Stapleton, P!NK, Carrie Underwood, Brett Eldridge). Oliveri also produced her latest projects, ‘He Never Does,’ and ‘Simple Little Things,' capturing Deidre’s unforgettable sound with matured reflections in her most recent writings.
‘Black Widow,’ netting the first official music video for the series of the new music, was produced at Dead Bird Studios in Chattanooga with Dran Michael Lewis, capturing a glimpse into 2024.
