Piranha Boys, Into The Storm, Too Hungry to Pray... The Leeches are back! Born and raised in Como, Italy, this four piece punk rock band delivers now Underwater, a brand new album produced by Daniel Rey (Ramones, Misfits, Manitoba's Wild Kingdom).

Twelve original songs for the lovers of Alice Cooper, Dictators, Adolescents, Angry Samoans, Turbonegro, and a cover of Blue Oyster Cult's ME 262. You can call it punk, you can call it hardcore... The Leeches love to call it "fat rock".

That's because they like to eat as much as they like rock'n'roll. After ten years spent playing everywhere in Italy (hundreds of solo shows and supporting acts like Hard-Ons, Germs, Bad Religion, Blink 182), they recorded this fourth full-length with a true punk rock legend: Daniel Rey.

Underwater proves that Massi (vocals, bass), Mexicano (guitar), Mone (drums) and Freddy (guitar) know how to rock and know how to roll. But, most important thing, the Leeches know how to have fun. Here is their live recipe: fast music, jokes and food-fights.

They are a really well-oiled machine and that's the reason why English punk rock pioneer Tv Smith chose Leeches' Massi and Mone (together with Mars from the Valentines) as his backing band for the "Tv Smith plays the Adverts" tour dates.

Daniel Rey and Tv Smith, two worldwide known and appreciated punk rockers can't be wrong. But the Leeches stay humble. They don't want to hit the mainstream, they prefer going from the underground to... Underwater.

I LEECHES sono una punk rock band italiana che più di ogni altra riesce a trasformare ogni suo show in uno spettacolo unico e irripetibile.
Passione, spontaneità e divertimento sono gli ingredienti genuini che hanno portato la band a farsi apprezzare da pubblico e critica, lungo un percorso artistico di successo in continua ascesa.
Spinti da interessi comuni, i LEECHES si incontrano nel 2002, a pochi chilometri dalla frontiera svizzera, per provare a combinare in un’unica line-up tutte le esperienze personali maturate in precedenti formazioni. Bastano pochi minuti di prove per capire che la ricetta è vincente: nessuna delle trascorse band dove i componenti avevano militato appare così energica, efficace e originale.

Arrivano i primi concerti e per quattro lunghi anni i LEECHES si dedicano principalmente all’attività live, coltivando un pubblico sempre più numeroso. Pubblicano un EP/split e un vinile 7”, dove vengono fissati i primi brani di repertorio.
Il 2006 segna l’anno del debutto ufficiale con la pubblicazione del primo full lenght: “Fun is dead” (Nextpunk Records). Il CD contiene 11 tracce in piena attitudine punk rock, grondanti di sudore e follia, marchiate dall’ormai inconfondibile impronta stilistica della band. Brani come Jesus love the leeches o Fun is dead diventano dei veri e propri inni.
La band è particolarmente prolifera e nell’estate del 2007 torna in studio e incide nuovi brani, non prima di aver firmato con la Tre Accordi Records. Nella primavera del 2008, viene pubblicato “Eat The Leeches”, album che conferma il successo dei LEECHES.
Riprendono un’intensa attività live che li vede impegnati anche a supporto di band come Bad Religion, Germs, Danko Jones, Adolescents, Ministri e inseriti nei cartelloni dei più rilevanti festival come il MIAMI ’09 e I-Day Festival 2011.
Spunta nuovo materiale e dopo aver rinnovato la collaborazione con la Tre Accordi, i LEECHES pubblicano nel 2010 “Get Serious”, terzo album in carriera, prodotto da Mars Valentin, chitarrista dei Valentines.
