Western Skyline

A new collaboration between four veterans of the Front Range bluegrass, country, and jazz scenes, Western Skyline crafts original songs that burn up dance floors and set drinking men to thinking. Sampling the classic flavors of Steve Earle and The Band and the stylings modern legends like Sturgill Simpson and Wilco, the band moves effortlessly from stomping country-rock to a yearning ballad of the illusive American Dream. This is music inspired by the poignant landscape that gave the band its name: alight with promise but haunted by the ghosts of a dark past. Western Skyline songs come alive with stories of relatable characters; three part harmonies sing of their triumphs and struggles; soaring electric guitar solos hint at the vast landscape beyond and an insistent groove moves the tale forward all the while. This is a sound to dance to in the Rocky Mountain sunshine, a sound that will turn your face to the mystery of the stars, a sound that could bring a tear for a lost lover, or the embrace of a new one. The four members of Western Skyline have been part of some of the best bands to come out of Colorado’s vibrant roots music scene: Bonnie and the Clydes, the Danny Shafer Band, Monocle Band.
