Backyard Superheroes

The Backyard Superheroes are proud to be one central New Jersey's most notorious up-and-coming ska bands.
Since their first rehearsal in early 2012, they've performed in 10 states and plan to grow that number on their next tour, and they've sure left their mark at each destination. Since Asbury Park's revival of the Skate and Surf Festival, the Backyard Superheroes have played it twice, as well as the Skanksgiving festival at Starland Ballroom. These 7 guys have been able to open for just about every major ska band in the U.S., like Less than Jake, The Pietasters, the Slackers, Big D and the Kids Table, and many more. They were also performers at the 2014 Atlantic City Beer and Music Festival, and were selected by voters on Alternative Beast (altbeast.com) to have created the best single (“My Fault”) and the best album (their self-titled album) for 2014. With fans checking in from around the globe, it is hard to argue that these guys are doing something right. They've headlined the local favorite summer festival known as the Backyard Campout three times, and while they will, along with many others, miss that festival, there are already some big events in the making for 2015!
