About NME
There are at least two bands by the name NME:
1) The American oldschool black metal band. Formed in 1984. Released 3 full-length albums.
2) NME was a grungerock band from northern Germany in the early mid 90s. The band of four released two albums and some live recordings.
3) Late 90s gothic/shock-rock 2-piece from Long Island, New York who used sequenced drums and backing tracks live, and released one album. They consisted of Key Fitz on vocals and Jason Cohen on guitar, bass, and programming. Key is now a comedian performing and gigging around the Long Island/New York City circuit, while Jason is currently residing in Las Vegas, working with a few bands on new material.
NME is also the name of a music magazine in the UK (The New Music Express), who sometimes give out free CDs, where the artist is mistakenly tagged NME.
