Claytown Troupe

CLAYTOWN TROUPE is a critically acclaimed British alternative rock band formed in 1984, gaining prominence in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s and carving a niche with atmospheric sounds and powerful live performances. These include supporting The Cult on their ‘Sonic Temple’ tour, Pearl Jam on their ‘Ten’ tour, the Fields Of The Nephilim, The Wonder Stuff, The Damned as well as many sold out tours and headlines across Europe, and London at the Marquee Club and Astoria.

The band were signed to Island records in 1988, releasing the album ‘Through The Veil’ and several top 100 singles, then following the sale of Island to EMI, released ‘Out There’ on their new label, along with 2 top 75 singles.

The band achieved a 5K review from Kerrang magazine on their ‘Through The Veil’ album release and many rave reviews for the power and depth of their music and performance.

Singer Christian Riou has forged a new Claytown Troupe who relaunched with their debut performance supporting The Mission in Dubai in late 2024.
With the first new material for twenty years being written and plans to record early 2025, Claytown Troupe are looking forward to the future.
